I was born and raised in Southern Illinois, I attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale where I majored in Photography and prelaw. This is where I pursued my love of photographing couples and politics, and where I learned I photograph them both in the same natural documentary style feel. 

While photographing this past year I was offered the opportunity to photograph Justice Judy Cates, candidate for Illinois Supreme Court. Being able to combine my two loves, was one of the best experiences ever.
